The Killarney for Palestine group will hold a coffee morning on Saturday, March 29, from 11.00am to 1.00pm, at JM Reidy’s on Main Street, with all proceeds in aid of Children Not Numbers and Uisce for Gaza.
The first charity provides lifesaving care to medically vulnerable children in Gaza and helps to evacuate them, amongst several other worthy endeavours.
The second organisation does incredible work in helping the suffering population of Gaza access clean drinking water which is a rare commodity these days there.
This will be a child friendly event with balloon making and face painting and it is also open to all sections of the community, both young and older.

Killarney for Palestine members, Susan Larkin and Lisa O’Sullivan, said they have been “simply devastated” at the resumption of air strikes by Israel on the Gaza Strip on March 18, bringing an end to the ceasefire agreement.
“Nobody can leave the strip without Israeli authority and there has been a complete blockade on aid for in excess of two weeks.
“Palestinians, men, women and children, the very elderly, babies and those with additional needs living in Gaza are already on their knees and suffering so much,” they said.
“It is critical that we keep their profiles raised. We remain committed to raising money for charities affiliated with Gaza through fundraising and will also continue holding our monthly vigils”.
The next vigil will be held at the Killarney Courthouse at noon on Sunday, March 30.
