Killarney firms get to meet worldwide buyers

Muckross Bookbinding presents a variety of journals and albums in leather

A number of Kerry craft and design businesses will join over 100 companies from across Ireland who will get a chance to meet with buyers from all over the world at the Showcase 2024 event in the RDS, running from the 21-23th January 21-23.

Kerry Local Enterprise Offices clients attending include:

* Muckross Bookbinding: The bookbinders present a variety of journals and albums in leather and a number of bespoke items all handmade in their workshop in Killarney National Park

* Carrauntoohil Crafts: A souvenir designer and wholesaler with 100 per cent original designs including magnets, socks, stationary, mugs and t-shirts

* Riocht Woodcraft: A family run business based in Moyvane using Irish hardwoods to create a range of handmade, bespoke kitchenware pieces

* Jayne Gillan Designs: Designing and crafting a range of wool and silk scarves using the ancient craft of felting drawing inspiration from the Irish landscape

* Leo Quinlan: A landscape artist based in Waterville specialising in paintings of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way.

The event, which is a pinnacle event in the global design and crafts calendar, will open its doors to thousands of buyers from across the world, including Ireland, the UK, USA, mainland Europe, Asia and Africa, generating millions of euros of sales orders during the show.

Showcase 2024 is presented on behalf of Design & Crafts Council Ireland, with support from Enterprise Ireland in promoting the trade show internationally through their network of offices overseas and the Local Enterprise Offices nationwide.
