
KILLARNEY and East Kerry clubs certainly made their presence felt at the keenly contested county finals of Scór na nÓg held in the Glenbeigh-Glencar Sports Hall.
2017 All-Ireland champions Spa GAA club triumphed in both the set dancing category and the question time – the latter after a thrilling tiebreaker against Tralee Parnells – while Glenflesk won the ballad group with club member, Éabha Healy finishing second in the recitation.
Liam Randles of the Dr Crokes club, meanwhile, was the first placed in solo singing while Kilcummin finished joint second in the instrumental music competition.
All the winners will now go through the Munster finals which will take place in the Éire Óg GAA Pavilion, Ovens, Co Cork on Sunday, January 5 while the All-Ireland finals of both Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsear will be held in the INEC, Killarney on February 1 and April 25 respectively.
The master of ceremonies for the finals was Cllr Fionnán Fitzgerald, the former assistant secretary with the Kerry County Board and an official with the Ballymacelligott club, and the overall club award went to Renard.
