The Kerry team to play Cork in the big Munster LGFA Senior Championship Round 2 clash shows just one change in personnel from the team that comfortably overcame Tipperary in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney last weekend.
Ciara Butler of Castlegregory comes in between the posts in place of Mary Ellen Bolger as,apart from a few positional adjustments, managers Darragh Long and Declan Quill put their trust in the team that delivered an impressive performance in the opening round.
The game will be played in Brosna this Saturday with a 2.00pm throw-in.
Rathmore’s Danielle O’Leary delivered a breathtaking performance in the 2-14to 0-5 demolition of Tipperary, kicking a total of eight points, five in the first half and many from audacious angles.
The highlight of the game was an opportunist goal by Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh who ran om to a clever Niamh Carmody pass and, spotting the Tipp goalkeeper well off her line and retreating frantically, she shot to the net from 25 metres for a golden goal.
Anything like a repeat performance from Kerry against the Rebels this Saturday will do just nicely.
