Kerry plays host to a VIP three-day guest

A detailed account of the success of several Kerry projects were outlined for the benefit of British Honorary Consul for the south west of Ireland, Katherine Fitzpatrick, who has spent three days visiting the county.

She met with Mayor of Kerry, Cllr Jim Finucane and representatives of the local authority executive and she got a full briefing on what was happening in various towns and villages.

Ms Fitzpatrick and a British Embassy delegation were told about Kerry’s urban and rural regeneration projects in Kerry and exactly why Kerry is a great place to live, work and visit.

The honorary consul is visiting the RDI hub, Astellas and Fexco in Killorglin and MTU in Tralee.

The trip is part of a British Embassy initiative to promote economic links and opportunities between regions of Ireland and the UK, identifying how cities, towns and regions can collaborate to help resolve shared challenges.
