ANOTHER major weather warning has been issued for Kerry.

A Status Yellow alert has been issued for this New Year’s Day with heavy and persistent downpours anticipated.

25 to 35mm is expected expected, with possibly higher totals on mountains.

The alert, issued by Met Éireann, will apply from 9.00am on Friday to 4.00pm on Saturday.
