Kerry folk urged to squeeze in a read today

The website offers book recommendations suited to a person’s interests

KERRY Library has encouraged everyone in the county to embrace Ireland Reads Day which is a novel one-day nationwide campaign to get the whole country reading.

The organisers are asking everyone to ‘squeeze in a read’ this Thursday and the library is there to help in the fun.

The campaign website offers book recommendations suited to a person’s interests and the time they have available with details of more than 800 recommendations from librarians all around the country.

Users can simply enter their favourite type of book and state how long they would like to read and the website will offer a suitable book suggestion and work out how long it will take to complete.

It is, essentially, a couch to 5k for books.

Kerry Library has a range of free online resources including online newspapers and magazines, e-books, e-audio books, e-languages, e-learning courses and e-comics.
