TWO players from Killarney Legion, one from Glenflesk and another from Listry will be involved with Kerry in the All-Ireland Under 17 semi-final clash with Roscommon at Cusack Park, Ennis this Saturday (2pm).
Legion’s Micheál Devlin lines out at corner forward with his clubmate Darren Looney on the bench while Glenflesk’s Sean Doherty starts at wing forward with Barry Keane of Listry wearing the number 13 jersey.
The team named by Peter Keane shows three changes in personnel from the side that defeated Cork in the Munster Final in May.
Donagh McMahon of Austin Stacks comes into the half forward line and in the full forward line, Donal O’Sullivan of Kilgarvan, who was injured for the Cork game, returns at full forward with Michael Devlin, a second half sub against Cork, coming in at corner forward. The players to lose out are Sean Keane, the unavailable Michael Slattery and Dara Casey.
Donal O’Sullivan, in particular, could have a big impact on the game as the stylish Kilgarvan player has been one of the stars of the year at Minor level and he produced one of the performances of the year in the Munster Final demolition of Clare.
The team contains three players who started in the All-Ireland Minor Championship quarter-final last weekend – goalkeeper Deividas Uosis, centre back Eddie Horan and sharpshooting full forward Donal O’Sullivan, while Michael Slattery was introduced as a sub in that game
The team is captained by Sean O’Connell of Cordal.
