The final countdown to the big All-Ireland senior ladies’ football final is underway and the tension and rivalry has even spread to the Rose of Tralee tour.
Carlow Rose and official GAA referee Caoimhe Deering had to put all her experience on the field to good use when it came to separating Kerry Rose, Kelsey Lang McCarthy, and Dublin Rose, Bethany Cushing, ahead of the big showdown between their respective counties at Croke Park on Sunday (4.00pm).
Caoimhe even had to resort to using oversized red and yellow cards and her matchday whistle to keep the peace as both Kelsey and Bethany claimed pre-match bragging rights.
The Roses are currently enjoying the build-up to the match and the festival which gets underway next Friday night in Tralee.
