FORMER GAA President Seán Kelly will chair a series of informative talks and debates about the game of hurling at an event planned for the schoolhouse in Killarney National Park at Muckross on Saturday, April 26.
Mr Kelly, who is credited with bringing the game to a new height in Kerry during his tenure as county board chairman, will preside over events in the company of keynote speaker Eddie Keher, the Kilkenny hurling legend who is recognised as one of the true greats of the game.
Former Cork hurler and Sunday Game analyst Tomás Mulcahy will also contribute as will the GAA’s national hurling director Paudie Butler and Tipperary author and hurling expert Seamus J King.
The events of the day will commence at 10.30am and the master of ceremonies will be the established voice of the GAA, retired broadcaster Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
The seminar will also feature an open debate on the future of hurling and its importance as the national sport and there will also be a hurling-related photographic presentation from decades past in association with the Irish Photo Archive.
Tickets can be purchased on line at www.muckross-house.ie or by calling 064-6630804.
