Graduating with a degree in post-primary teaching at Dublin’s Convention Centre is Keith Kelliher, from Listowel, pictured with his brother, Private Christopher Kelliher, who joined 1,190 graduates from all 26 counties to qualify in as teachers, inclusive of special education and business in data analytics at the annual Hibernia College conferring ceremony.
It was the largest ever number of teachers to graduate in Ireland.
Acknowledging the remarkable achievements of all graduates, Dr Mary Kelly, Academic Dean at Hibernia College, congratulated those receiving teaching degrees.
“You hold the key to transformative change in the world by shaping the minds and futures of the next generation, at a time when our country is so short of teachers,” she said.
Praising graduates in inclusive and special education she added: that they will impact the lives of individuals with diverse abilities but also contributes to building a society that values and embraces the unique strengths of every individual.
