TO say there were some head-turning moments on Ladies Day at Killarney Races this afternoon is quite the understatement as the women of Kerry – and further afield – turned on the style in their bid to be crowned Dawn Milk Queen of Fashion.
A fantastic array of styles, in a kaleidoscope of summer colours, made the task facing the judges, footballer Aidan O’Mahony and model Thalia Heffernan, all the more difficult and the Dancing With The Stars contestants had their work cut out to whittle it down to 10 finalists.
The dapper men of Kerry also played their part in what was an amazing spectacle and they weren’t slow in coming forward with bright, brash colours with some of them looking like they had just walked off the fashion ramps in Milan or Paris.
