JORDAN Lee couldn’t hide his disappointment after narrowly missing out on a medal at the European Para Athletic Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland
He finished in fourth place in the high jump with his best leap of the season but it saw him just outside a place on the podium and the chance of a bronze medal.
“I can’t make any excuses. I just got out-performed on the day,” he said.
Coached by Killarney’s Tomás Griffin, Jordan said he felt in really good shape going into the competition and he was confident that he would do well but, unfortunately, things just didn’t go according to plan.

The Killarney Valley Athletic Club star will now concentrate on the national under 23 championships and the senior nationals next month as he builds his preparation for the Paralympics in Tokyo.
Jordan won bronze at the Para Athletic European Championships in 2018 but was disappointed to finish sixth at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai the following year.
