John prepares to pass on the Ross baton

Given that the weather can be challenging at this time of year, many of the activities at the busy Ross Golf Club in Killarney have moved indoors as members prepare to wrap up the season and prepare for what is sure to be another very competitive and enjoyable year out on the course.

At the presentation of prizes for the Maurice O’Donoghue memorial competition were John Ivory, Captain Ross, Áine O’Donoghue (sponsor), MIke O’Keeffe, winner, MJ Casey, President with, at back, Terence Mulcahy, Mike Brosnan and Johnny Brosnan, Vice Captain

Gents Captain John J Ivory is reflecting on a very successful year at the helm during which great golf was played, super competitions were held, fun-filled extra-curricular activities were arranged and all members had a thoroughly enjoyable year.

Plans are now underway for the annual general meeting and for John to hand over the club blazer to incoming captain Johnny Brosnan who knows he has a hard act to follow.
