John Chris is still giving long after his passing

Eight worthy charities or organisations in have benefited enormously from the generosity of one kind man.

The late John Chris Crowley from Gneeveguilla included them in his will and a whopping €400,000 was shared between the organisations to benefit.

They were St Joseph’s Church, Rathmore, the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, MS Society Dublin, Rathfredagh Cheshire Home, Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services in Harold’s Cross, Crumlin Children’s Hospital Rathmore Social Action Group and the Kerry Friends of Motor Neurone.

The cheque presentations were made in Rathmore last Saturday night by John’s sister Maureen, her husband Pat Healy, daughter Karen and son Michael.

John Chris, who worked with Eircom, battled with multiple sclerosis for many years. He lived in Dublin for much of his life but he later returned to his native Kerry where he passed away in 2024.

Throughout his life he dedicated himself to helping countless charitable causes and he greatly enriched the lives of those in need.
