It’s Dr Crokes v Kerins O’Rahillys in last four

What it’s all about: The Bishop Moynihan Cup

DR Crokes will play Kerins O’Rahillys in the semi-finals of the Kerry Senior Football Championship semi-finals with Austin Stacks taking on St Brendan’s Board in the other last four game.

The only side remaining in the championship that is not based in or around Tralee, Crokes will be hoping to win the title for the 14th time in the club’s proud history and Edmund O’Sullivan’s side will be all out to regain the Bishop Moynihan Cup last won in 2018, which was the final chapter in a glorious three-in-a-row.

Crokes looked hugely impressive when dismissing Templenoe in Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday and although they will fancy their chances of making the decider, Tommy Walsh, David Moran and co will obviously have other ideas.

Austin Stacks, also impressive at the weekend with a comfortable win against South Kerry, will face a tough task against local rivals St Brendans backboned by the dynamic midfield pairing of Jack Barry and Diarmuid O’Connor.

The games will be played on the weekend of November 20/21 and it is expected that one will be played on Saturday night and the other on Sunday afternoon.

Both games will have to be decided on the day so extra time and a penalty shootout might be required.
