Friday at Killarney Races turned into a lively Marty Party as hugely popular GAA commentator Marty Morrissey turned up to enjoy the occasion.
He was in big demand with selfie-seekers and the man from Clare thoroughly enjoyed his day at the most scenic race track in the country.

His horse – The Marty Party – finished second in the opening race and the voice of the GAA was more than happy with that.
This Saturday will mark the pinnacle of elegance at the AugustFest at Killarney Races with the best dressed day where glamour takes centre stage as fashion connoisseurs close out the three-day meeting in spectacular style.

Dressed to impress, the most fashionable ladies and gentlemen will vie for a luxury stay in Kerry, including three nights in a newly refurbished suite at Killarney Plaza Hotel, atmospheric dinners with champagne, spa treatments, whiskey tastings and quintessential Kerry excursions.
The gates open today from 12.30pm with the first race off at approximately 2.30pm.
Digital creator Lauren Arthurs and Dancing with the Stars winner Aidan O’Mahony have been enlisted to judge the best dressed competition.
Fashion judge Lauren Arthurs commented: “I am so excited to be there to judge best dressed is extra special. Fashion is my absolute passion and I can’t wait to see everyone express themselves so fabulously on the day”.
There will be live music in the Jim Culloty Bar by The Rising will be followed by DJ Donal.
