Kingdom Warrior Kevin Cronin has said he is “battered, bruised and heartbroken” after his Celtic Super Middleweight title bout defeat at the 3Arena on Friday night.
The popular Kerry boxer looked devastated in a photograph he shared on social media in the immediate aftermath of the highly contentious split decision defeat to Irish Olympian Emmet Brosnan.

He said it isn’t a picture he likes to look at but it speaks a thousand words to sum up his post fight emotions.
Although many observers insisted that the Milltown fireman had done enough to win, dignified as ever, he paid tribute to his “world class” opponent for a great fight and said he had nothing but respect for Dubliner Brosnan and his team.
“I’ll let you have your own verdict on it but I couldn’t be prouder of what me and my team showed the world last night,” Cronin said.
He added: “It just breaks my heart and I think I deserve a lot more from boxing”.
