PETER Keane has named his first Kerry senior championship team and the side that will line out in the Munster SFC opener against Clare in Ennis on Saturday (7.00pm) has a number of changes from the line-up against Mayo in the National League final on March 31.
Kerry are forced to linedout without long-term injury victims Peter Crowley and Kevin McCarthy but a number of other players that had niggling knocks are also absent.
Midfielder Jack Barry is out, so too is Rathmore’s Paul Murphy and Spa’s Dara Moynihan while Gavin O’Brien of Kerins O’Rahillys and Tomás Ó Sé are also not included in the match day squad.
David Moran returns to action after missing most of the League through injury and he will be partnered at midfield by Templenoe’s Adrian Spillane.
Tomm Walsh – who had such an influential role to play in the league – starts on the bench as does back in action Gavin White of Dr Crokes.
