A proverbial feast of quality family entertainment came to life in Barraduff Community Field at the weekend as the annual community celebration that is the Flesk Fest entertained scores of locals and visitors.

Organised and hosted by Glenflesk GAA Club, it featured a packed schedule with great live bands, including Meadhbh Walsh, Thingamajig, The BorderBoys, Johnny Courtney, Paudie Coffey and the O’Donoghue Sisters, and dancing until late in the night.
There was a busy festival marquee with a full bar, food trucks, polka sets, coverage of the brilliant All-Ireland hurling final on the big screen and a novel Texas Holdem poker tournament.
For the more energetic this year’s programme incorporated a wellness day with masterclasses in pilates, yoga, mindfulness, spinning, a firewood sauna and ice pods with qualified instructors on hand to guide patrons along the way.
