With the virus still causing significant problems and resulting in people being hospitalised throughout the country, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare has confirmed that walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics will be available in Kerry this week and over the bank holiday weekend for all adults and children over the age of five.
The HSE strongly urges anyone who is due a booster, or who is unsure of their vaccine status, to check as soon as possible by contacting HSELive on 1800-700-700.
Dr Anne Sheahan, Area Director of Public Health for Cork and Kerry said it is a very safe vaccine that will offer added protection at a time when the country is seeing high levels of Covid-19.
“People can still become very sick with the infection and our best ammunition is vaccination,” she said.
Clinics will run at the Kerry Vaccination Centre, Borg Warner, Monavalley, Tralee (V92HT21) as follows:
- Wednesday, February : 9:15am-1:15pm and 2pm-3pm (12+)
- Wednesday, February 1: 3:30pm-4:30pm (5-11 year olds)
