Representatives of the Original Irish Hotels group and guests will pedal their way through Kerry as part of an eight-day charity cycle starting on Monday, September 30.
Starting in Baltimore in Cork and finishing on Monday, October at 7 in Dunfanaghy in Donegal, the 800 km cycle challenge will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Wild Atlantic Way, celebrating the impact the route has had on local communities over the last decade.
The goal is to raise €50,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
During the 800km relay style cycle team members will visit a variety of the beautiful Original Irish Hotels along the Wild Atlantic Way route, with participants from each hotel taking part at various stages along the cycle.
The teams are made up of hotel proprietors, staff, guests, suppliers and many local heroes with a combination of experienced and leisure cyclists.
They will complete close on 100km per day, visiting 24 hotels including the Victoria House Hotel, the Arbutus Hotel and Randles Hotel in Killarney, Sneem Hotel, Parknasilla Resort, Benners Hotel in Dingle and Ballyseedy Hotel in Tralee.
All donations will help the hotel teams make this event an important contributor to the local communities along the Wild Atlantic Way through the Irish Cancer Society.
