KILLARNEY’S greatest showman will very shortly be packing his bags to start a new life in London but he had something very important to see to before he left.
Jack Patrick Healy, the talented and colourful entertainer from the Gap of Dunloe, has announced his engagement to his long-time sweetheart, Emma Jane O’Leary, and he picked the magical setting of the iconic Tavern on the Green restaurant in New York’s Central Park to pop the question.
And he sang out with joy when she said ‘yes’.
Posting a celebratory snapshot on social media, Jack Patrick declared: “Miss O Leary is soon to become Mrs Healy and I couldn’t be happier. I am honestly the happiest man in the world right now”.

Emma Jane is a native of the UK and lives in North Kensington, London and they are looking forward to building a new life together in the bustling city.
Jack Patrick hopes to make the big breakthrough in the West End to showcase his wonderful talents to a whole new audience and the 24-year-old piano man has already lined up a number of venues in which to perform in the Kensington High Street and Notting Hill district.
He has been the hugely popular resident entertainer in the Liquid Lounge in the Killarney Grand for the past three years, packing the venue every weekend, but he feels it’s time to make the big break and to start a glorious new chapter in his career.
“All going according to plan, I’ll be in London for the rest of my life. I have contacts there and am very excited about the move,” Jack Patrick told KillarneyToday.com.
He will give what promises to be a sensational final Killarney performance in the Liquid Lounge at a gala farewell party on Saturday, March 2 and the following day Jack Patrick will board the plane to London where locals and visitors can look forward to a very special musical treat.
