Well done to Holy Family National School, Rathmore on their superb victory over Ardfert National School at Austin Stack Park in Tralee in theCumann na mBunscol Division 1 final. Congratulations to a wonderful team and their trainer Mr Dineen.

Strictly: Rathmore GAA and Rathmore ladies’ football clubs are coming together to jointly host the Strictly Come Dancing event for the second consecutive year. Following the success and entertainment element of last year’s event, this night is much anticipated by both the local and wider communities.
Renowned choreographer Joe Burkett is putting the dancers through their paces in preparation for the big night. This event takes place on December 7 at 8pm in INEC, Killarney. Tickets are €20 and they are available from the INEC box office.
Lighting: Liam Flynn from Millstreet has outlined a Christmas lighting proposal which would very much enhance the town over the holiday period. The proposal would involve significant expenditure in year one but not quite as costly in year two and the subsequent years. Year one brackets would cost €50, trees are €15 and lights €22 while the installation and removal service would cost €40. The total initial cost would be €120. For those who already have brackets, trees and lights can be supplied for  €70. He has agreed to leave prices as last year. Bingo:
The Rathmore branch of the Kerry Parents and Friends, which has been in existence for nearly 50 years, would like to thank supporters and friends for their generosity. In an effort to increase funding a Christmas bingo will be in community centre to replace the sale of work.
Concert: Tureencahill Community Group will present the talented Annmarie O’Riordan in concert in Tureencahill Community Centre on Wednesday, December 27. Tickets are €15 and light refreshments will be served. To book

Athletics: Barradubh Field Committee in association with Gneeveguilla Athletic Club are holding their end of series race on Sunday next, November 26 at 1.00pm in Barradubh Field with registration from 12 noon. This event is open to runners of all abilities. They will also have a 3K race for those wishing to do a lesser distance. The entry fee €5.00 per adult and €3.00 per child. All categories will be catered for.
