Killarney’s under 16s travelled to Tralee for a match that would determine the winners of the Munster Conference 2. On six minutes, pressure was rewarded with a try from captain Craig Mckenzie Vass with the conversion duly slotted over by Donnchadh Grealy.
Gary Randles then crossed on 20 minutes go over in the corner. The game ebbed and flowed right until the final whistle with Killarney’s heroic defence holding Tralee at bay.

The win secured a fifth victory from five games and as Conference C victors, Killarney will now play at the top table in the Munster A Under 16 Cup competition after Christmas. Well done to the coaching team Seamus Grealy, John O[Connell, Eoin Seery, Bill Stack and Leo Randles.
Under 18: Kanturk 0 South Kerry 36. South Kerry took an early lead with opportunistic try by Oisin Daly, followed by two tries by Eoin ÓSuilleabhain and another by Stephen Sealey.
In the second half Shane Looney scored his first ever try and the last play saw Darragh Fitzgerald score and drop kick the conversion for final score 36-0. Well done to all and coaches Andrew and Dan.
Minis: Last weekend The club’s minis hosted Corcha Dhuibhne at Knockreer and some fantastic rugby was on display at all ages. Next Saturday the under 10s and under 12s head to Tralee RFC for some matches.
Party: The club will hold its Christmas party at the Killarney Avenue Hotel next Sunday between 2pm and 4pm and all minis and their brothers and sisters are welcome to come along and meet Santa and his chief Elf.
