THE heavy fog that descended on Killarney this morning will remain until tomorrow morning at the earliest, Met Éireann has advised.
A Status Yellow fog warning has been issued for many parts of the country, including Kerry, and forecasters say it will thicken significantly as the night progresses to caution is advised for road users.
It will be particularly dense in the early hours of the morning and the fog isn’t expected to lift until 6.00am on Monday.
Drivers have been urged to slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. They should also use their low-beam headlights to ensure their taillights will also be on.
