DESPITE recent controversies and tragedies, the absolute importance of health screening will be stressed to a Killarney audience this Monday night, November 26, courtesy of the local HeartBeat group.
Lynn Swinburne, senior health promotion officer with the National Screening Service, is the guest speaker and she will address such issues as BreastCheck, cervical checks, bowel screening and diabetic retina screening.
Lynn will also cover the latest thinking on cancer and talk about the symptomatic services at Cork University Hospital – for prostate, breast, lung and pigmented lesion. Information will be available on how to get the checks, where to get the checks and other important general information.
The informative talk will be delivered at the Serenity Centre, St Anne’s Road, Killarney at 8.00pm and all are welcome.
