THIS is the disgusting sight that greeted walkers along one of the most scenic pathways in the Killarney National Park.
Old wall tiles – all smashed into tiny pieces – were discarded by filthy illegal dumpers in the area known as the Queen’s Drive, near Muckross, at the weekend.
The woodland targeted leads to the upper car park at Torc Waterfall and the tiles were dumped in three separate piles, all close together, adjacent to a clump of trees.
It’s not the first time the road to Torc has been targeted by dumping louts and it is likely that the dastardly act was carried out under the cover of darkness.
Anybody that might have seen anything suspicious in the area at the weekend – or in the days or night leading up to the weekend – is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064-6631222 or the National parks and Wildlife Service in Muckross.
