THE last time they hit the big city together they ground traffic to a halt on Kildare Street when they staged a rousing celebratory singalong outside the gates of Dail Éireann.
They played the bagpipes, they brandished an accordion, they sang, they danced and they whooped with sheer joy as brothers, Michael and Danny, stormed the corridors of power in 2016 with over 30,000 first preference votes from the people of Kerry in their back pockets.

This Friday night the Healy-Raes will be back in Dublin for what promises to be another colourful appearance on the Late Late Show only this time there will be five of them to contend with.
As well as welcoming Danny and Michael back to the studio – and they are no strangers to the cameras – show host Ryan Tubridy will also get to introduce a new generation of Healy-Raes to the country with Danny’s son and daughter, Johnny and Maura, and Michael’s son Jackie accompanying them.
All three powered their way to first count victories in last weekend’s local elections with Maura topping the poll in Killarney with 3,099 first preferences, Johnny storming Kenmare with 3,023 and Jackie securing a huge 2,621 in Castleisland in what was his debut election.
Tonight’s show will be a real family affair as the HealyRaes will share the limelight with the billionaire Collison brothers who will tell how they built their online payments software firm Stripe from a few lines of code to a company worth $22 billion. and why it’s important Ireland remains a major fixture in their empire.
