Harris and Chambers on the campaign trail in town

Taoiseach Simon Harris
Finance Minister Jack Chambers

Killarney is the country’s political capital this Saturday afternoon as two big-hitters go on the campaign trail in the town.

Taoiseach Simon Harris is accompanying Fine Gael candidate Billy O’Shea on an intensive canvass as the former Kerry footballer seeks to retain the seat vacated by outgoing TD Brendan Griffin.

They went on walkabout in Tralee town centre this morning before moving on to Killarney where they met and chatted with potential voters on Main Street and High Street.

Meanwhile, fresh from implementing the 2025 Budget, Finance Minister Jack Chambers will be in town this Saturday afternoon with a town centre canvass before he joins candidate Linda Gordon Kelleher on a door-to-door canvass of voters in Fossa.

The minister is also scheduled to meet with the executive of Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce to discuss matters of concern to the town business representative organisation.
