Guests enjoy Killarney drama at its best

Close on 150 invited guests were treated to a two-hour celebration of music, song, poetry and drama as Killarney celebrated the amazing generosity of the McShain and Bourn Vincent families who gifted Killarney National Park, Killarney House and Gardens and Inisfallen Island to the people.

Their remarkable stories were brought to life in a brilliant drama penned by St Oliver’s National School teacher Noel Patrick O’Sullivan – formerly of Teen Spirit – with stage school proprietor Fiona Crowley.

Local amateur actor, including members of Killarney Musical Society and Dochas, played the key roles and the evening also featured great jazz music and song.

The celebration, organised by Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and the National Parks and Wildlife Service, was held as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Killarney’s 4th of July festival.
