Gooch honoured by the Kerry supporters

He may have hung up his boots but the legend that is Colm Cooper lives on in Kerry GAA circles.

One of the greatest players to ever wear the green and gold jersey, The Gooch was presented with a special appreciation award in recognition of his contribution at the annual Kerry GAA Supporters Club celebration.

The Dr Crokes attacker was one of the special guests lined up for the occasion at the Ballygarry House Hotel in Tralee and also feted on the night were former Spa and Kerry corner back Donie O’Sullivan and hurler Johnny Conway, who continues to inspire, both on and off the field.

Their stories and experiences resonated deeply with those in attendance as did the contribution from Kerry GAA Chairman, Patrick O’Sullivan, who shared his vision for the future of the game in Kerry

All the presentations were made by Rathmore clubman Donal O’Leary who is the chairman of the Kerry Supporters Club.
