The Gneeveguilla National School parents’ association will host a ladies’ tea party on Saturday, November 11 in the GAA Hall from 4pm to 7pm. Music will be provided by The Killarneys. Round up your friends and families and help put the talk into the tea. All group sizes catered for and tickets should be purchased in advance. Reunion: Calling all members of the Class of 1987: a 30-year reunion, including all who went to the old tech, those left midway through or those who repeated into the class, will take place on Saturday, April 14 2018 at venue to be advised.

Art: The Rathmore and District Credit Union art competition is up and running. It promotes self-expression, imagination and creativity so they are looking forward to a big entry of posters.
Scheme: Rathmore Credit Union has a very successful schools’ savings stamp scheme in operation in local schools. The main aim is to encourage students to adopt a regular saving habit thus teaching them the need and the art of saving for the future.
Birthday: Congratulations to Sadie Lenihan, Gortdarrig, Headford who celebrated her 40th birthday with family and friends in the Torc Hotel, Killarney last Saturday night.
Award: Congratulations to Donal and Mary McCarthy of Londis. Convent View, Rathmore who were presented with a retail excellence award by Ger Geaney of Londis at a function in the Powerscourt Hotel, Co Wicklow.
