GARDAI in Killarney are anxious to talk to a woman who was in Killarney Post Office when another female customer accidentally dropped an envelope containing a substantial amount of cash on the floor as she left the premises.
The woman of interest to gardai was standing at the front of the queue when she appeared to observe the envelope falling to the floor in front of the roped off queuing area.
She picked up the envelope and left the building immediately but, according to gardaí, the money was not returned to the customer who dropped it after completing a transaction.
CCTV footage of the incident, which occurred on May 3 last, was featured on RTÉ’s Crimecall last night and gardaí have asked for anybody that might recognise the woman at the head of the queue woman to contact them.
