GARDAI are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision this morning in which a woman lost her life.
The driver, who was aged in her 70s, was the only occupant of the vehicle which crashed into a wall shortly before 11.30am.
Gardaí and emergency services personnel rushed to the scene of the crash at Farranwilliam, Ardfert but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been removed to University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The road was closed with local diversions in place and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station or any station.
