
Beaufort’s application under a new funding scheme targeting waste water collection and treatment needs has been successful, it has been confirmed.
Minister for Education and Kerry TD, Norma Foley, said the allocation has been confirmed by Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien,
“This is excellent news for Beaufort. The rural water scheme has been established to help villages that do not have access to public waste water infrastructure so the successful application will have an enormously positive impact,” Minister Foley said.
“It is planned that further progress will continue to be made to deliver similar projects in other areas where they may be required.”
The minister acknowledged the “hugely important work” done locally in Beaufort and in particular by Kerry County Council over the years to deliver these long-awaited scheme.
