Four hour journey without even a sip of water

Linda Gordon Kelleher

There has been a call for the immediate restoration of the food cart on the Tralee to Dublin rail service for the benefit of commuters.

Fianna Fáil general election candidate, Linda Gordon Kelleher, noted that it has been restored on the Cork service and if people change trains in Mallow it available to them.

“The same now needs to be done for the Tralee service,” she said.

Ms Gordon Kelleher said elderly people use the train service to travel to Dublin for treatments and hospital appointments and she believes for them to be expected to go almost four hours without even a sip of water is unacceptable.

She has called on Irish Rail and the National Transport Authority to immediately look at restoring the food cart on the direct route and for the matter to be considered nationwide on longer transport routes.
