Fitzgerald Stadium to host the party of the year

With the open air celebrations already underway on the streets of Tralee, excitement is mounting in Killarney ahead of the arrival of the newly crowned All-Ireland senior football champions later tonight.

The team will arrive by bus at Fitzgerald Stadium and the party is due to get underway from 8 o’clock.

Gates will open at 6.00pm at the Lewis Road side of the ground only with live entertainment from 6.30pm.

Supporters will be directed on to the pitch on to the terraces and there will be no access to the seated stand where a platform will be erected for the players and management.

Additional car parking facilities will be available in the old rugby field off the bypass road and in the field adjacent to St Mary’s Cathedral on Port Road which is a short walk to the stadium.

Wheel chair parking will be available in the Dr Crokes GAA Club grounds on Lewis Road and the road has been closed to traffic from 5.30am.

After the open air celebrations the squad and many supporters will attend a victory disco at the Gleneagle INEC Arena.
