TWO men who were arrested as part of an investigation into a fatal road traffic collision in Killarney have been released without charge.
They were detained yesterday at Killarney Garda Station by officers investigating the circumstances of the incident which occurred at Dunrine – on the main Killarney to Tralee road – on January 12 last.
Both men, who are in their 20s, have been released and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A woman in her 80s, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at University Hospital Kerry a short time after the incident which occurred shortly after 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
