In terms of style, there were several in contention as Killarney played host to one of the most eagerly anticipated social and sporting evets of the year.

Ladies Day at Killarney Races is the one day there is more interest in what’s happening in the stands than out on the track and this year was no exception as punters really turned out in their finery with some stunning outfits on display.

The men too made an extra special effort this year with several dapper gentlemen observed with a racecard in the hand and a trilby on the head.

Carly Murphy from Kenmare, who was deemed the best dressed lady, has won a trip to two to Parish while best dressed man, Seán O’Leary from Killarney, is heading to Milan.
