Fashion blitz was a winner

PLANS are already in place for the eighth annual Killarney Rotary Club afternoon tea event at the Malton Hotel following the huge success of the recent event.

Organised in aid of the Killarney branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, it incorporated a fashion blitz and raffle for the chosen charity.

Clodagh Irwin-Owens, who won the sought-after title Kerry Fashion Designer of the Year in 2012, displayed her latest designs, while autumn/winter fashion courtesy of Paco, at the Killarney Outlet Centre, also took centre stage on the catwalk. In addition, the fashion blitz showcased jewellery by Brian De Staic.

“The event was, as always, a sell-out success,” said organiser Ciara Irwin-Foley of Killarney Rotary Club.

“We would like to thank all the ladies who supported the event. It was great to see so many people returning this year and also to welcome new faces that we hope to see again next year.”

Killarney Rotary President John O’Sullivan, Rotary Ireland assistant governor Teresa O’Brien and representatives of the Killarney branch of St Vincent de Paul were also key to the event.

Killarney Rotary president John O’Sullivan added that funds raised through the event would say locally.
