Worried uncle tells KillarneyToday.com of family’s anguish

THE distraught family of a teenage girl missing from her home in Kilgarvan for over a week has pleaded with her to get in touch to let them know she is safe.

16-year-old Chloe Palmer hasn’t been seen since she left her family home in the early hours of last Wednesday, August 3.

A Garda spokesman said she is known to frequent the Killarney area on a regular basis but there is some suggestion that she may have travelled to another part of the country.

Chloe is the daughter of Willie and Helen Palmer, Gorthloughera, Kilgarvan, and she has a sister and a younger brother.

She is described as being approximately 5’7″ in height, of slim build and she has distinctive long red hair. Her family said she can regularly look older than 16.

Chloe, a student at Phobail Scoil Inbhear Sceine in Kenmare, left home in the early hours of the morning and it is understood that she brought two bags of clothes and other belongings with her.

She was in her bedroom at midnight but her mother discovered she was gone shortly after 6 o’clock the following morning.

Her uncle David Foran, who lives in Killarney, said the family is understandably very worried about her and they have appealed with Chloe to get in touch with somebody to let them know she is okay.

“The Gardaí are doing fantastic work looking for her but we need her to get in touch. We ask anybody that thinks they might have seen her or those who have any information where she might have gone to get in touch with any Garda Station,” David told KillarneyToday.com.

Anyone with information her whereabouts is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064-6671160, the Garda confidential line on 1800 6660 111, or any Garda station.
