Fake Friends to ensure a Better Christmas in Killarney

Big gig: Cathal O’Flaherty (front) with Fake Friends

Killarney native Cathal O’Flaherty’s Fake Friends will make their INEC debut in his hometown on December 22 when they take to the stage in the Gleneagle INEC Club.

Fresh from the release of their latest single, Better, which is massing up airplay all over Ireland, the band will play a special one-off performance with special guests this Christmas.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am and are available here: https://www.ticketmaster.ie/artist/5484891?venueId=198298.

Better is the third single to be released from the band from their upcoming EP due for release at the end of 2024.

Fake Friends recently signed a €300,000 recording contract

Cathal Flaherty describes the single – a heartfelt conversation with his younger self – as the most personal song he has ever written.

“It has been the one song we have looked forward to people hearing the most since our formation and we can’t wait to have this out to the world. I think many people will resonate with it as much as we do,” he said.

The band has had extensive national airplay, appearing twice on the RTÉ recommends list and also securing airplay on Today FM, RTE 2FM, Spin 103.8, iRadio and Radio Kerry.

Fake Friends recently signed a €300,000 recording contract with Song City Records and AMA music agency.
