Two high-achieving Killarney students have been awarded the prestigious JP McManus All-Ireland scholarship at a ceremony in Limerick.

The recipients are Erin Doheny and Ilona Sheehan who were recognised and honoured for their high achievements in the Leaving Certificate examination in 2023

Both girls are in their first year of college, studying engineering.

A total of 125 All-Ireland scholarships from the 32 counties are awarded each year.

An active Alumni Association, formed in 2017, is driven by recipients of the scholarship and contains a network of members who are pro-active in helping each other and contributing to the welfare of society.
