Ella registers five personal bests in Wales

Killarney Swimming Club competitor Ella Cremin represented Munster in Wales at the weekend at her first international event, the Swansea Aquatic Spring Meet.

She competed in five events and came away with personal bests in all of them.

15-year-old Ella had three top 10 finishes, she came fifth in the 50m backstroke, ninth in the 100m, 10th in the 200m, 12th in the 100m fly and 18th in the 100m free.

It was a huge achievement for Ella and Killarney Swimming Club.

Meanwhile, 20 club members competed at the Munster Aspiring Champions Series at UL at the weekend. 

Killarney had 17 top 10 finishes and personal bests for many swimmers. 

Cathal Mackey was placed third in the 50m backstroke and had two other top 10 finishes.
