A fabulous bag from Penney’s completed a winning look for the winner of the best dressed lady prize for AugustFest at Killarney Races.
Elaine O’Sullivan, from Kilcummin, wore a striking chic black dress from Karen Millen, paired with matching Christian Dior shoes, along with a white headpiece she bought through Depop.
She included a bag from Penny’s to complete the look.
“I’m absolutely thrilled. I couldn’t believe it when I was announced as the winner,” said Elaine who was selected by adjudicators, digital creator Lauren Arthurs and former Dancing with the Stars winner Aidan O’Mahony.
Her prize included a luxury three-night stay in a newly refurbished suite at Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa, atmospheric dinners with champagne, spa treatments, whiskey tastings and quintessential Kerry excursions.
In the best dressed gent category, Tom McGillycuddy, from Coolbane, Killorglin, came out on top with his winning look, a brown suede suit coupled with a trilby and brown shoes.

Tom will be a familiar face as he previously won television reality show Feirm Factor in 2008 when his prize was a sleek Land Rover Discovery.
He also won a three-night stay in a newly refurbished suite at Killarney Plaza Hotel with all the trimmings.
Out on the track, the big race was the GMIB Handicap Hurdle of €45,000 won by Miss Fourie for owner Aisling Molloy and trainer Peter Fahey which gave jockey Jake Coen his biggest win over jumps to date.
Fahey commented: “To be honest I was 50-50 on whether to run or not, due to the rain, but I said to Aisling that we might as well chance it as her season could be over if we get much more rain after this. It worked out great and I’m delighted for Jake who is a good little rider.”

On Friday English trainer George Scott saddled his first ever Irish runner at Killarney, a long journey that paid rich dividends when Prydwen won the Kelliher’s Toyota Kingdom Gold Cup Handicap of €45,000.
Scott said: “The world is a small place now and it is very important to travel horses and find the most appropriate races. To come to a beautiful track like this is a privilege”.
On Saturday, jump racing took centre stage to a packed crowd of enthusiastic racegoers. The feature saw 12/1 shot Walnut Beach continue a fruitful summer campaign for Pat Flynn, as he landed the feature at Killarney Races, the listed O’Donoghue Ring Collection Handicap Chase.
Killarney Races has one final weekend meeting to look forward to on October 6/7.
