Two local punters cut quite a dash at Killarney Races this Saturday to take home the best dressed lady and man titles.
Elaine O’Sullivan from Kilcummin, elegant in classic black and white, and dapper Tom McGillycuddy from Killorglin were deemed the winners despite very stiff competition from other punters, both male and female, at Ireland’s most scenic race track.
The stylish day out brought the three-day AugustFest to a close and although the weather presented some difficulties over the three days, it was nothing a sturdy umbrella couldn’t fend off.
For their efforts they will receive a luxury stay in Kerry, including three nights in a newly refurbished suite at Killarney Plaza Hotel, atmospheric dinners with champagne, spa treatments, whiskey tastings and quintessential Kerry excursions.
Digital creator Lauren Arthurs and Dancing with the Stars winner Aidan O’Mahony were enlisted to judge the best dressed competition and after selecting their finalists they eventually opted to choose Elaine and Tom, neither of whom had too far to travel to get to and from the racecourse.
