MANAGEMENT and staff at the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney, have joined forces with Focus Ireland to support homeless families in Munster with a Children’s Christmas Giftbox Appeal.
The hotel, part of the Hayfield Family Collection, will be purchasing and donating over €7,000 worth of toys, clothes and gifts to children in need and they are inviting members of the public to join a special gift giving event that is being organised.
The Great Wrap Day will be held in the in the foyer of the Great Southern, Killarney from 11.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday, November 23.
People are being invited to drop in additional children’s gifts, for ages 0-12 years, and the generous gift givers will be rewarded in turn with some delicious treats of the season as well enjoying as the priceless pleasure of knowing that they have created some very special memories for our community’s most needy children this Christmas.
Hayfield Family Collection Communications Director, Claire Scally, has been liaising with Focus Ireland on the initiative: “At this giving and family-oriented time of year, we are delighted to be supporting Focus Ireland, who do such worthy work, and to be bringing joy to children in our community,” she said.
Those who would like to donate, can drop off gifts to Great Southern, Killarney on Saturday, November 23 between 11.00am and 4.00pm or join Santa and his elves from 3.00pm to 4.00pm. Please note that all gifts must be new.
