IT’S a happy start to the new year for one local community organisation which has been allocated substantial grant aid by the government.
Tureencahill Community Group has received the maximum grant of €10,000 for heating, lighting and sound equipment to help with the promotion of community-related activities.
Announcing the allocation, which is part of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht’s small capital grants scheme, Kerry TD Arthur J Spring said the funding will will assist the organisation in delivering new artistic projects and enhancing cultural events in the local community.
