There are both very well-known and widely celebrated for the great success they enjoy in their chosen sporting and entertainment codes and young Killarney couple, Saoirse O’Connor and Dara Moynihan, now have cause for another great double celebration as they both graduated from college on the same day.
Saoirse, a gifted multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, who is a familiar face on stage and screen through her performances alongside her music star dad, Liam O’Connor, graduated from Munster Technological University with a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree and is now studying for a Professional Masters in Education.
Her boyfriend, hugely accomplished Kerry and Spa football star Dara Moynihan, also graduated from MTU with a Bachelor of Business degree and he is now working as a financial advisor with the Killarney Credit Union.
Great credit is due to them both as they have successfully combined their demanding study schedules and exams with their huge commitments on the stage and on the field.
In this case, it’s certainly a case of all work and all play make Saoirse and Dara’s busy lives far from dull.
